# Yoti vs Timegate+

The clearest difference is rating: Timegate+ at 5.0 against Yoti's 4.0. Timegate+ also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and device support (3 vs 1). Yoti's advantage is review sentiment (35% vs 6%) and ratings volume (13K vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Timegate+ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yoti has 13K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Yoti's written reviews are positive against 6% of Timegate+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Yoti ships an update monthly, Timegate+ every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
