# Task Monster vs Reminder

The clearest difference is ads: Reminder at none against Task Monster's shown. Task Monster's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Task Monster sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Reminder sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Task Monster ships an update every 4 weeks, Reminder every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
