# Cooped Up vs Letter Burp

The clearest difference is ads: Letter Burp at none against Cooped Up's shown. Letter Burp also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 17 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 71%). Cooped Up's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (85 vs 11). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cooped Up sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Letter Burp sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cooped Up holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cooped Up has 85 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Cooped Up's written reviews are positive against 100% of Letter Burp's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cooped Up ships an update every 17 months, Letter Burp daily. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
