# colliibo vs Shiny

The clearest difference is ads: Shiny at none against colliibo's shown. Shiny also leads on review sentiment (95% vs 61%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. colliibo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Shiny sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for colliibo against 4.9 for Shiny. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shiny has 3.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 61% of colliibo's written reviews are positive against 95% of Shiny's.

colliibo ships an update every 3 months, Shiny weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
