# Roll Turtle vs btw

The clearest difference is rating: btw at 4.6 against Roll Turtle's 4.3. btw also leads on ratings volume (900 vs 20). Roll Turtle's advantage is review sentiment (98% vs 86%) and price ($0.99 vs $1.99). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Roll Turtle costs $0.99 and btw $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

btw holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: btw has 900 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 98% of Roll Turtle's written reviews are positive against 86% of btw's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
