# Pling vs E

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: E at none against Pling's 10. Pling's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (34 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pling sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per month. E asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pling holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pling has 34 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
