The clearest difference is ratings volume: Mileage Tracker by Everlance at 53K against SmartMiles's 12. Mileage Tracker by Everlance also leads on chart position (#13 vs unranked) and device support (3 vs 1). SmartMiles's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 80%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mileage Tracker by Everlance sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and SmartMiles sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
