# BagSizer vs RedCoach

The clearest difference is rating: RedCoach at 4.7 against BagSizer's 3.8. RedCoach also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 months). BagSizer's advantage is review sentiment (42% vs 15%) and iOS requirement (8.1 vs 16.4). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RedCoach holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RedCoach has 996 ratings behind it against 59, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of BagSizer's written reviews are positive against 15% of RedCoach's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BagSizer ships an update every 6 months, RedCoach every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
