# SecureVPN vs SuperVPN

The clearest difference is update cadence: SuperVPN at every 3 weeks against SecureVPN's every 2 months. SuperVPN also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). SecureVPN's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SecureVPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and SuperVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for SecureVPN against 4.6 for SuperVPN. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3.8K and 3.7K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 79% of SecureVPN's written reviews are positive against 75% of SuperVPN's.

SecureVPN ships an update every 2 months, SuperVPN every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
