# SecureVPN vs Cable VPN

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cable VPN at fortnightly against SecureVPN's every 2 months. SecureVPN's advantage is review sentiment (79% vs 69%) and ratings volume (3.8K vs 726). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SecureVPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Cable VPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for SecureVPN against 4.6 for Cable VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SecureVPN has 3.8K ratings behind it against 726, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 79% of SecureVPN's written reviews are positive against 69% of Cable VPN's.

SecureVPN ships an update every 2 months, Cable VPN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
