# Exist vs Vertical Life

The clearest difference is update cadence: Exist at every 3 weeks against Vertical Life's every 7 months. Vertical Life's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Exist sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.49 per month and Vertical Life sells 20 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Exist ships an update every 3 weeks, Vertical Life every 7 months. Both last shipped on October 8, 2026.
