# Squarely vs Vuga

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Vuga at 83% against Squarely's 28%. Vuga also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Squarely's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and update cadence (monthly vs every 48 months). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Squarely holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 15 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Squarely's written reviews are positive against 83% of Vuga's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Squarely ships an update monthly, Vuga every 48 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
