# Flipper vs Video Flipper

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Video Flipper at 78% against Flipper's 52%. Video Flipper also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Flipper's advantage is ratings volume (8.2K vs 220) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flipper sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Video Flipper sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flipper holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flipper has 8.2K ratings behind it against 220, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Flipper's written reviews are positive against 78% of Video Flipper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flipper ships an update every 2 months, Video Flipper fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
