# Disco Timer vs Big Fat Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Disco Timer at 4.7 against Big Fat Timer's 4.2. Disco Timer also leads on ratings volume (97 vs 6). Big Fat Timer's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (100% vs 89%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Disco Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Big Fat Timer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Disco Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Disco Timer has 97 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Disco Timer's written reviews are positive against 100% of Big Fat Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
