# Disco Timer vs Min & Sec Timer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Min & Sec Timer at every 2 weeks against Disco Timer's every 5 months. Min & Sec Timer also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Disco Timer's advantage is ratings volume (97 vs 13). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Disco Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Min & Sec Timer sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Disco Timer against 4.8 for Min & Sec Timer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Disco Timer has 97 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Disco Timer ships an update every 5 months, Min & Sec Timer every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
