# ひま部 vs ひま友チャット

ひま部 and ひま友チャット both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 93% of ひま部's written reviews are positive against 13% of ひま友チャット's. ひま部 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ひま部 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and ひま友チャット sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ひま友チャット holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 66 and 33 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of ひま部's written reviews are positive against 13% of ひま友チャット's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
