# El Expreso vs Tornado Bus

The clearest difference is rating: Tornado Bus at 3.0 against El Expreso's 2.3. Tornado Bus also leads on ratings volume (23 vs 3). El Expreso's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 33%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tornado Bus holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tornado Bus has 23 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of El Expreso's written reviews are positive against 33% of Tornado Bus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

El Expreso ships an update every 3 weeks, Tornado Bus every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
