# Scriblr vs MemDay

The clearest difference is rating: MemDay at 5.0 against Scriblr's 3.3. Scriblr's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 months vs every 21 months). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MemDay sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Scriblr asks for nothing beyond the download.

MemDay holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scriblr has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Scriblr ships an update every 5 months, MemDay every 21 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
