# GK vs Amro

The clearest difference is ads: GK at none against Amro's shown. GK also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Amro's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Amro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amro has 62 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GK ships an update every 7 months, Amro every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
