# Battery Watcher vs My BatteryStatus

The clearest difference is rating: My BatteryStatus at 5.0 against Battery Watcher's 4.5. My BatteryStatus also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and device support (4 vs 2). Battery Watcher's advantage is ratings volume (340 vs 6) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Battery Watcher sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and My BatteryStatus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

My BatteryStatus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Battery Watcher has 340 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Battery Watcher's written reviews are positive against 67% of My BatteryStatus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Battery Watcher ships an update fortnightly, My BatteryStatus every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
