# eSquirrel vs LingUp

The clearest difference is review sentiment: eSquirrel at 100% against LingUp's 39%. LingUp's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. eSquirrel sells 50 one-off in-app purchases and LingUp sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

eSquirrel ships an update every 2 months, LingUp weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
