# MYLAPS Speedhive vs DTE PowerControl

The clearest difference is rating: MYLAPS Speedhive at 4.8 against DTE PowerControl's 3.0. MYLAPS Speedhive also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 4) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). DTE PowerControl's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 51%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MYLAPS Speedhive holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MYLAPS Speedhive has 1.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of MYLAPS Speedhive's written reviews are positive against 68% of DTE PowerControl's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MYLAPS Speedhive ships an update monthly, DTE PowerControl every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
