# Countdown° vs Countdown

The clearest difference is ads: Countdown at none against Countdown°'s shown. Countdown also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). Countdown°'s advantage is ratings volume (24K vs 3.1K) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown° sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Countdown° against 4.7 for Countdown. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown° has 24K ratings behind it against 3.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 82% and 82% positive.

Countdown° ships an update every 6 weeks, Countdown weekly. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
