# Etihad vs Optiontown

The clearest difference is rating: Etihad at 4.4 against Optiontown's 3.9. Etihad also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (18K vs 84). Optiontown's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Etihad holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Etihad has 18K ratings behind it against 84, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Etihad's written reviews are positive against 25% of Optiontown's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Etihad ships an update every 5 days, Optiontown every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
