# Texidium vs Readora

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Texidium at none against Readora's 4. Texidium also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Readora's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (925 vs 26). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Readora sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per 7 days. Texidium asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Texidium against 4.1 for Readora. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Readora has 925 ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 13% of Texidium's written reviews are positive against 23% of Readora's.

Texidium ships an update every 3 months, Readora fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
