# 2Counter vs Ping

The clearest difference is rating: Ping at 4.3 against 2Counter's 3.7. Ping also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 56%) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). 2Counter's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 2Counter sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Ping sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ping holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 6 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of 2Counter's written reviews are positive against 67% of Ping's.

2Counter ships an update every 2 weeks, Ping monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
