# engagEPetaluma vs reMarkable mobile

The clearest difference is rating: engagEPetaluma at 4.3 against reMarkable mobile's 2.8. engagEPetaluma also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). reMarkable mobile's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (517 vs 3). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

engagEPetaluma holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: reMarkable mobile has 517 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of engagEPetaluma's written reviews are positive against 27% of reMarkable mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
