# OpenKey vs Breeze Airways

OpenKey and Breeze Airways both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 73% of OpenKey's written reviews are positive against 45% of Breeze Airways's. OpenKey also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Breeze Airways's advantage is ratings volume (132K vs 3.1K) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for OpenKey against 4.8 for Breeze Airways. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Breeze Airways has 132K ratings behind it against 3.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 73% of OpenKey's written reviews are positive against 45% of Breeze Airways's.

OpenKey ships an update every 2 months, Breeze Airways every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
