# OpenKey vs Time Transit

The clearest difference is ratings volume: OpenKey at 3.1K against Time Transit's 1. OpenKey also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.0). Time Transit's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Time Transit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OpenKey has 3.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OpenKey ships an update every 2 months, Time Transit fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
