# Negentropy vs Milesoft Words

The clearest difference is ads: Negentropy at none against Milesoft Words's shown. Milesoft Words's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 21 months) and ratings volume (15 vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Negentropy sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Milesoft Words sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Negentropy against 4.9 for Milesoft Words. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Milesoft Words has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Negentropy ships an update every 21 months, Milesoft Words every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
