# Global Citizen vs Spireworks

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Spireworks at 58% against Global Citizen's 28%. Global Citizen's advantage is rating (3.7 vs 3.5) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Global Citizen holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 154 and 136 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Global Citizen's written reviews are positive against 58% of Spireworks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Global Citizen ships an update monthly, Spireworks every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
