# UCAT vs Ulster County Sheriff’s Office

The clearest difference is rating: Ulster County Sheriff’s Office at 4.2 against UCAT's 2.8. UCAT's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 22 months) and ratings volume (25 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ulster County Sheriff’s Office holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UCAT has 25 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of UCAT's written reviews are positive against 33% of Ulster County Sheriff’s Office's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UCAT ships an update every 3 weeks, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office every 22 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
