# Soundtrap vs FL Studio Remote

The clearest difference is rating: Soundtrap at 4.3 against FL Studio Remote's 3.4. Soundtrap also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 29) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). FL Studio Remote's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Soundtrap sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. FL Studio Remote asks for nothing beyond the download.

Soundtrap holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Soundtrap has 11K ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Soundtrap's written reviews are positive against 36% of FL Studio Remote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Soundtrap ships an update fortnightly, FL Studio Remote every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
