# MarkNote vs BasicTaskNotes

The clearest difference is rating: BasicTaskNotes at 5.0 against MarkNote's 4.8. BasicTaskNotes also leads on price ($0.99 vs $1.99). MarkNote's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

MarkNote costs $1.99 and BasicTaskNotes $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BasicTaskNotes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MarkNote has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
