# Orbit vs Whittler

The clearest difference is ads: Whittler at none against Orbit's shown. Whittler also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Orbit's advantage is ratings volume (7.6K vs 9). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Orbit sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Whittler sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Orbit against 4.9 for Whittler. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Orbit has 7.6K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 94% of Orbit's written reviews are positive against 100% of Whittler's.
