# SJCAM Zone vs Insta360

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SJCAM Zone at none against Insta360's 23. SJCAM Zone also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). Insta360's advantage is review sentiment (29% vs 13%) and ratings volume (9.4K vs 771). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Insta360 sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. SJCAM Zone asks for nothing beyond the download.

SJCAM Zone holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Insta360 has 9.4K ratings behind it against 771, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of SJCAM Zone's written reviews are positive against 29% of Insta360's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SJCAM Zone ships an update every 2 weeks, Insta360 every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
