# Touch VPN Secure Hotspot Proxy vs Mullvad VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: Touch VPN Secure Hotspot Proxy at free with in-app purchases against Mullvad VPN's subscription. Touch VPN Secure Hotspot Proxy also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (16K vs 1.5K). Mullvad VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Touch VPN Secure Hotspot Proxy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Mullvad VPN sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Touch VPN Secure Hotspot Proxy holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Touch VPN Secure Hotspot Proxy has 16K ratings behind it against 1.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Touch VPN Secure Hotspot Proxy's written reviews are positive against 58% of Mullvad VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Touch VPN Secure Hotspot Proxy ships an update every 2 months, Mullvad VPN monthly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
