# MVGO vs Octoberfest Guide

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MVGO at none against Octoberfest Guide's 4. MVGO also leads on ratings volume (2.1K vs 8). Octoberfest Guide's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (60% vs 39%). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Octoberfest Guide sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. MVGO asks for nothing beyond the download.

MVGO holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MVGO has 2.1K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of MVGO's written reviews are positive against 60% of Octoberfest Guide's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MVGO ships an update every 3 weeks, Octoberfest Guide every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
