# Xero Me vs Fora

The clearest difference is monetization model: Fora at free against Xero Me's free with in-app purchases. Fora also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and device support (3 vs 1). Xero Me's advantage is ratings volume (109 vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fora holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Xero Me has 109 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Xero Me's written reviews are positive against 33% of Fora's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Xero Me ships an update fortnightly, Fora every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
