# Scripture Hero vs Alien Tentacles

The clearest difference is rating: Scripture Hero at 3.4 against Alien Tentacles's 1.0. Scripture Hero also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 8 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scripture Hero sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Alien Tentacles sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scripture Hero holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scripture Hero has 38 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Scripture Hero ships an update every 3 weeks, Alien Tentacles every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
