# Serious Solids vs Aktiv Learning

The clearest difference is rating: Aktiv Learning at 3.2 against Serious Solids's 2.7. Aktiv Learning also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 48 months) and ratings volume (184 vs 7). Serious Solids's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (100% vs 73%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aktiv Learning sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Serious Solids asks for nothing beyond the download.

Aktiv Learning holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aktiv Learning has 184 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Serious Solids's written reviews are positive against 73% of Aktiv Learning's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Serious Solids ships an update every 48 months, Aktiv Learning every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
