# Drone Buddy vs Joylog

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Joylog at 100% against Drone Buddy's 55%. Joylog also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15). Drone Buddy's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 4 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drone Buddy sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Joylog asks for nothing beyond the download.

Drone Buddy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drone Buddy has 8.4K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Drone Buddy's written reviews are positive against 100% of Joylog's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Drone Buddy ships an update every 10 days, Joylog every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
