# Drone Buddy vs ST FLY

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ST FLY at 100% against Drone Buddy's 55%. ST FLY also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15). Drone Buddy's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (8.4K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drone Buddy sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. ST FLY asks for nothing beyond the download.

Drone Buddy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drone Buddy has 8.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Drone Buddy's written reviews are positive against 100% of ST FLY's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Drone Buddy ships an update every 10 days, ST FLY every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
