# Watch Notes vs BatteryPhone

The clearest difference is rating: Watch Notes at 4.3 against BatteryPhone's 3.6. Watch Notes also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). BatteryPhone's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (156 vs 16). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Watch Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. BatteryPhone asks for nothing beyond the download.

Watch Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BatteryPhone has 156 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Watch Notes's written reviews are positive against 54% of BatteryPhone's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Watch Notes ships an update every 6 weeks, BatteryPhone every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
