# Watch Notes vs LockInNote

The clearest difference is rating: LockInNote at 5.0 against Watch Notes's 4.3. Watch Notes's advantage is ratings volume (16 vs 3) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Watch Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and LockInNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LockInNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Watch Notes has 16 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Watch Notes ships an update every 6 weeks, LockInNote every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
