# Cut and Paste vs Magic Wand

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Magic Wand at 80% against Cut and Paste's 29%. Magic Wand also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). Cut and Paste's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 2.0) and ratings volume (2.3K vs 5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cut and Paste sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Magic Wand asks for nothing beyond the download.

Cut and Paste holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cut and Paste has 2.3K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Cut and Paste's written reviews are positive against 80% of Magic Wand's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cut and Paste ships an update every 2 weeks, Magic Wand every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
