# Cut and Paste vs Magic Crop

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Magic Crop at 100% against Cut and Paste's 29%. Magic Crop also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Cut and Paste's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.8) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cut and Paste sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Magic Crop sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cut and Paste holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cut and Paste has 2.3K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Cut and Paste's written reviews are positive against 100% of Magic Crop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cut and Paste ships an update every 2 weeks, Magic Crop every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
