# Amcrest Cloud vs UniCam

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Amcrest Cloud at none against UniCam's 13. Amcrest Cloud also leads on ratings volume (5.9K vs 50) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). UniCam's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UniCam sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Amcrest Cloud asks for nothing beyond the download.

UniCam holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amcrest Cloud has 5.9K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Amcrest Cloud's written reviews are positive against 33% of UniCam's.

Amcrest Cloud ships an update every 4 months, UniCam fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
