# Amcrest Cloud vs UniFi Connect

Amcrest Cloud and UniFi Connect both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of UniFi Connect's written reviews are positive against 20% of Amcrest Cloud's. UniFi Connect also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). Amcrest Cloud's advantage is ratings volume (6K vs 13) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
