# SmartHQ vs Frigidaire

The clearest difference is ads: Frigidaire at none against SmartHQ's shown. Frigidaire also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). SmartHQ's advantage is chart position (#64 vs unranked) and ratings volume (90K vs 14K). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for SmartHQ against 4.7 for Frigidaire. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartHQ has 90K ratings behind it against 14K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 17% and 17% positive.

SmartHQ ships an update every 4 weeks, Frigidaire fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
